Styling & Shows

As we all know, developing a product is only part of the story: presenting that product effectively in a highly competitive and discerning marketplace is critical to its ultimate commercial success.

Great styling is about wonderful storytelling, the highlight of the journey from product development to market (usually a trade show), and the moment in the story that will be communicated to the market and press.

I ensure that I create visionary and memorable presentations and displays that have impact and a clear message. And that doesn’t necessarily have to mean big budgets, more an understanding what the parameters are, and making the most appropriate and effective use of available resources.

I work across a wide range of styling contexts and applications including:

  • creating trend/mood boards

  • styling for magazine shoots

  • collating written and visual reports of trade shows for a wide range of publications

  • producing and constructing impressive fabric displays – often using distinctive props that give my work a little edginess – for trade shows or special events

I work at many major international trade shows – Première Vision, Pitti Filati, Intertextile – as well as other venues showcasing my clients and the industry in general. My roles encompass:

  • creating complete stand design and managing the project from concept to build

  • using 3D imaging that allows clients to see and visualise trade stand details in advance

  • presentation briefings to introduce and inspire agents or customers to the new collection on client stands – on the opening day or at a pre-show event

  • giving press briefings from the stand on what’s new and what’s happening to key-influencers and advocates in the textile and fashion industry

  • carrying out textile trend and colour seminars

I ensure that I create visionary and memorable presentations and displays that have impact and a clear message.
